Not everybody wants to treat their children equally and sometimes you may not wish to benefit someone in the family at all. The law however is clear that there are certain categories of person, for example your children, who can challenge your will in court. Whilst nothing can be done to prevent them having that right it is important to construct your documents professionally and with supporting documents to limit any chance that a case will succeed. Every year thousands of Wills are contested by disappointed family members and the best defence is always to make sure the will is written effectively with any potential claims in mind.
